Product Manager

Responsibilities Include:

The Product Manager's primary responsibility is to manage the efficient development and manufacture of products that meet the needs and desires of our targeted customers. The Product Manager will accomplish this goal in a way that maximizes sales and margin potential, follows strategic initiatives and product plans and promotes positive ongoing vendor relationships. The Product Manager is responsible for the long term success of the products and is heavily involved in all stages of the development process.

Qualifications/Experience:

The ideal candidate will have the following:
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a product development setting in the R/C hobby, technical sports equipment or toy industries. Should also have good knowledge of the R/C industry and significant hands-on experience using R/C products.
  • College degree in a related field is highly preferred, but must have high school diploma.
  • Must be self-motivated, capable of multi-tasking, detail-oriented, and able to organize/set work priorities for themselves.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate and interact with all levels of the organization, vendors, and customers.
  • Should have good proficiency in the use of computers with knowledge in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project applications.

    Product Development Engineer

    Department: Surface Product Development 5/17/2012 1:22:09 PM

     

    Responsibilities Include:

    Combine specialized knowledge and principles of mechanical engineering with significant experience of radio controlled model cars to design, build, test, and analyze RC products. This will include the creation of parts and engineering drawings for prototype and production at both domestic and international vendors, and creation of exploded views for instruction manuals.

    Qualifications/Experience:

    The ideal candidate will have the following:
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent academic discipline) with emphasis in Product Design from an ABET Accredited University
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and applications
  • Knowledge of Material Science
  • Product and platform engineering and design processes
  • Knowledge of how R/C cars and accessories are used and maintained
  • First hand experience in operation and tuning R/C cars at a hobby level
  • Manufacturing process involving injection, compression, and transfer molding
  • SolidWorks
  • PDMWorks
  • COSMOSWorks

    Ontario, CA

    Department: Product Support - Ontario 2/1/2012 12:06:14 PM

     

    Responsibilities Include:

    The Product Support Representative answers phone inquiries from consumers regarding our R/C products and helps solve technical problems. Responsible for evaluating defects in merchandise vs. user operating problems and advising the user of the solution. The Product Support Representative will learn and research the R/C products we distribute through hands-on use.

    Qualifications/Experience:

    The ideal candidate will have the following:
  • The ability and motivation to provide outrageously excellent service
  • The ability to work independently to solve problems.
  • Candidates should have previous call center customer service experience and strong technical skills.
  • Experience & knowledge of RC cars and boats is a plus.
